yes, like everyone else and their grandmas, i'm obsessed with stripes this season.  and i'm definitely obsessing over this amazing blue and white striped umbrella.  it just oozes quality and chicness!

after posting 423978 pairs of oxfords, i think i've found the winner: pour la victoire GUNMETAL oxfords

the gold versions are stellar too, but gunmetal's far more versatile; not too flashy, not too subtle--parfait.  i CANNOT wait to wear these with my little black linen skirt and mummy's old white boyfriend shirt, tucked in haphazardly.  droooool go the boys.

for those who know me well, you should already know this. 

i have an embarrassing(ly awesome) admission: i regularly flag down strangers on the street to ask them where they got their bag/ glasses/ dress/ coat/ ring/ chorizo sandwich (no, seriously).  it's great--my total lack of shame has provided me some awesome finds--like that pilot's helmet bag i told you about (brooklyn flea, tall girl in high-waisted jeans, i weaved through a pile of old records to tap her on her shoulder--awesome).  my latest find?  these rag and bone oxford flats.  airport, trendy blonde, i flagged her down from across the beltway.  lately, i'm all about the brogues and oxfords--could you tell?
